Getting back in the swing of things

Hello Joyflakes!

I can't believe how long it has been since I last posted. I feel like each December rolls around and I'm in a funk of writers block and deep reflection on my life until my birthday in February but for some reason that block lasted until the end of March.

Since I last talked to you all, I've gone back to school and finished up all of my GenEd requirements for an AA degree. I'll start back on my final 30 credits of my bachelor's degree in May. For those of you who read this post my going back to school may sound odd, but when I dropped out of school, I still thought that at some point in my life I would go back...I just didn't now when that would be.

As far as going back to school is concerned, I'm in that stage where classes start in just about a month and I'm nervous and excited. It's been a while since I was in a serious academic setting and I'm jumping into my final few semesters head first. I'll be taking 2 semester worth of French classes in just 12 short weeks so it's going to be intense!

In order to go back to school, I'm going to be cutting back my hours at work dramatically. It's going to be weird to go from working full time to being a student full time again, but I think I'm ready for it. And more than anything, I'm excited to stretch my brain in another way again.

The really good thing is that I'll have more freedom to blog again. Writing for a college planning website has been wonderful and I'll likely keep doing it while I'm a student, but like I've always said, I love this blog and I love that I've made a little corner of the internet that is my own place of love and light and expression. It's going to be good to have the motivation and energy to get back on every day and blog about my life. Whether anyone will be reading or not I have no idea!

So there you have it. I'll slowly be updating you more and more on my life again. The trials and tribulations of being a 26 year old undergraduate student are sure to be somewhat interesting...or at least funny! And I'm sure there will be lots of non-school things going on too.

For example, I'm going to my first yoga class since high school tonight with a woman who works in my office. I'm terrified and I don't know why. But I'll let you know if I figure that one out!

à bientôt! (See? I'm using my french already!)

XOXO,
Kae
